Hi, wondered if anyone can help. Am in the process of starting up a new agency, with £250,00 backing and around 600 vacancies to get started on stright away. Have done some ringing around and spoke to a guy at broadbean yesterday who seem to be insistent that they were to big for me to deal with as I should not even consider them as they are so expensive. Can I ask advice if this is true or just pure arrogance from their part. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi George,

Broadbean are the most expensive, but from feedback are one of the best.

Conkers are owned by Jobsite and you can get a good deal with them if you use postings aswell as conkers.

Webcruit is not as good and also has a poor support function.

Jobmate - I do not know much about these guys.

There are a few others but I think these are the main ones.

From my experience of working with all of these companies - Conkers are the easiest and most helpful company to deal with

speaking as a former Director of a major job board - all the main companies (see above) have a strong product now - and who you use should depend on the service you receive when you contact them and then of course - the deal you get. I would be wary about paying a big premium to use one over another.

Hi George

I just picked up your message on ukrecruiter forum, if it helps I used a software called Arithon which when you write an advert it is automatically put onto your own website and the job boards that you currently used.

For me it was Totaljobs and Reed it worked really well once the set up had been done.

If it is of interest you can trial the demo at http://www.arithon.com

Let me know how you get on.

PS as you can see I loved the product so I then decided to join the company.

Regards

Hi George,

Sorry for the delay, I have only just picked up on this.

Broadbean, it is fair to say, have the most advanced job posting and source traking technology on the market as well as the best technical support team. Because of this we are more expensive than our competitors.

Regardless of these two facts, some 85 percent of our business comes from small recruitment agencies and the SME market is our bread and butter. The reason for this, is small agencies can't afford to have technology in place that fails, especially when it is the very technology that provides their life blood - candidates. That added to the fact that our service is extremely good value for money.

May i apologise for any offence our sales team may have caused. Please contact me directly when you have formed your agency and i will be happy to set you up on a free trial.

Best Regards

Ricky Wheeler
Marketing Director

George I saw your msg there on the forum and I was going to put forward the system that we use. But alas I see the very man who gave me my sales presentation has beat me to the punch!
I set up roughly on my own roughly four months ago and Arithon has been invaluable to my success. Previously the agency i worked for used conkers, but i have found Arithon to be a far better offering.
not only does it have job uploads but website integration has been a very useful function for us.
Most importantly the price was excellent, with no set up charges etc.
In terms of broadbean that sounds ridiculous. I have colleagues who use the product with smaller operations than yours. my advice if they don’t want you, stay clear.
Best of luck

I am considering using a multi posting site (I haven't used one before) and I was just wondering what sort of prices people were currently paying - I know Broadbean is expensive and Conkers does look like a good option but I just wanted to use the forum's collective experience to check if I am getting a good deal or not?

Any advice will be greatfully accepted!

Hi Interested Party

You may find as an alternative Arithon's multi-posting tool, very competitive at £15 per job board per month.

You will need an Arithon license at £50 per month.

I hope this is of help
